They say finding love is never easy and if you are Sharon Stone, you might have to face the wrath of dating apps too. In a hilarious turn of events, the 61-year-old actress was blocked from a popular dating site ‘Bumble’ on Monday.

It turns out, Sharon had created an account on Bumble but users started reporting it, thinking that it was fake. “I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account. Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me!”, Stone wrote on Twitter.

The ‘Total Recall’ actress also posted a screenshot from the app which read, “we’ve received several reports about your profile being fake”.

The ‘Basic Instinct’ starlet felt that she was being excluded from the online world of dating by young, hip millennials and wrote “Don’t shut me out of the hive”, followed by a bee emoji.

However, the good folks at Bumble were quick to react to the tweets by the revered actress. “There can only be one Stone”, they wrote, adding “Catherine Tramell from Basic Instinct gets a pass today!”.

Bumble’s, Editorial Director, Clare O’ Connor also responded to Shannon’s tweet saying, “this won't happen again”, stating that her account has been reinstated.

What’s more? The moment Shannon sent out the tweet, her fans came for Bumble in large numbers and started demanding her account be restored. A large number of potential suitors also came forward and asked Stone out for a date.

This gentleman was willing to drive 25 miles to meet the actress.

After a tumultuous 2018, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stressed on a privacy-focused social network at the Facebook F8 developer conference this year. In the keynote, Zuckerberg said that they are pushing hard on helping people to connect with close family and friends. He unveiled a revamped and redesigned version of Facebook, called the FB5 which aims at making navigation easier, improve the loading time and giving the user a cleaner appearance. The updated mobile app is rolling out now. The desktop version will be released in the next few months.

Along with changes to the core app, Facebook also announced updates to Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Oculus Quest and Rift S virtual reality headsets — and introduced a new feature, Facebook Dating.
